Our Programme

Education

At IISPPR, we believe every child deserves a strong foundation. From early childhood to elementary education, we uncover the gaps that hold children back and create solutions rooted in their realities. With two schools in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, we work hand-in-hand with children, families, and communities, partnering with both hearts and governments to bring lasting change in education.

RTI Advocacy

IISPPR champions information as a powerful tool for justice. Through its RTI advocacy, it identifies barriers to transparency and civic engagement, crafting locally grounded strategies to overcome them. We work closely with citizens, students, and public institutions—empowering communities to ask questions, demand accountability, and help build a more open and democratic society.

Policy Advocacy

IISPPR drives policy advocacy that bridges grassroots realities with institutional change. By identifying critical policy gaps and amplifying voices from the ground, we develop evidence-based recommendations and engage with decision-makers to shape more inclusive and responsive governance. Through collaboration with communities, researchers, and public institutions, we work to ensure that policies reflect real needs and promote equity, justice, and sustainability.

Research Mentorship

We fosters a culture of inquiry through its research mentorship programs, guiding emerging scholars to explore critical social, economic, and policy challenges. We provide hands-on mentorship, methodological training, and ethical guidance—ensuring that young researchers not only build strong academic foundations but also produce work that is impactful, grounded, and socially relevant. By nurturing the next generation of public policy thinkers, we aim to bridge the gap between knowledge and action.

Grassroot Policy Issue Network

IISPPR leads the Grassroots Policy Issue Network to surface voices and challenges often overlooked in mainstream policy discourse. This initiative brings together community members, local leaders, field researchers, and practitioners to identify urgent ground-level issues and co-create solutions. By connecting grassroots realities with policy dialogue, the network ensures that governance is informed by lived experience and responsive to those most affected.

Community development

IISPPR anchors its work in the belief that sustainable change begins within communities. Through its community development initiatives, we focus on strengthening local capacities, promoting inclusive participation, and addressing structural barriers to wellbeing. By working alongside citizens, grassroots leaders, and local institutions, we co-create solutions that empower communities to lead their own development journeys with dignity, resilience, and agency.
